NJISA Spring Team Champs

Summary

Saturday, April 21:

Four NJISA teams sailed in today league team race qualifier. It was with chilly temps initially in the 40’s, but it warmed up a bit under the clear skies and the 8-10mph westerly breeze cooperated for most of the races with occasional oscillations and pressure changes.

Three rounds were completed (18 races) with the Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs coming out on top with an 8-1 record. The Ranney Panthers ended the day at 5-4, with the CBA Colts behind them with their 4-5 record. The South Indians went 1-8, taking pride in their one win against Ranney.

Thank you to Helga Paggi for taking finishes and entering scores. Dave Magno arrived and also helped out on the finish boat recording some of the close finishes. Thank you to the teams’ coaches Jeff Bonanni, Clay Johnson, Jason Lutz and Matt & Rachel Goetting for serving as umpires. Thank you to Kevin Kempton for the use of his boat for the RC and as always, many thanks to OCC and TRYC for the use of their fleet of boats and facilities.
