The event was hosted by Beaufort High School. Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club was instrumental in providing access to the venue and club member volunteers worked the race committee.
Wind and weather were perfect. Temperature was in the mid 60s and wind was from the North at 15-25 mph. There was an outgoing tide for the duration of the event. Wind and tide were in the same direction which reduced the chop sailors had to deal with on the course.
We really appreciated all the work the parent and club volunteers put into the regatta. Special thanks to the River Rats for their on-the-water work with safety boats and R/C.
