A record 30 high school teams participated in the 2018 PCISA Silver Fleet Pacific Coast Championship at EYC on April 21 & 22. Ten races were run in both A and B division over the course of the weekend, with no protests filed and only four requests for redress. Thank you to the RC, registration, and food volunteers and also to Judges Mike Gross and Vickie Sodaro!
After a short on the water postponement, racing got underway with clear, sunny skies and 5-11 knots of wind. Six races were completed in A division and four races for B division in shifty, puffy, flat water conditions. After racing, sailors enjoyed a regatta barbeque by the EYC pool.
The day started with another brief delay, but quickly got going and sailors enjoyed four races in A division and six in B division for a total of ten races in each. Conditions were nearly the same, with slightly shifty breeze between 5-12 knots and flat water. Congratulations to Newport Harbor HS, Point Loma HS, and Rolling Hills Prep HS for placing third, second, and first respectively! Congratulations to The Bay School of SF for winning the Steve Grove Memorial Trophy!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
