VISA York Fleet Race Regatta

Summary

Saturday, March 24:

Eighteen teams from 12 schools met to compete on Mill Creek at Fort Monroe on a brisk March day with a high temperature of 41 degree under partly cloudy skies. Winds were 12-14 mph slightly west of north with gusts higher, dropping and clocking throughout the day to a low of 4 mph from the east. Seven races in each of two divisions were completed on a W-4/W-3 course.

In A division, Christchurch School Team 1 took first place, followed by Norfolk Collegiate Team 1 in second, and Christchurch School Team 3 in third place. In B division, Christchurch School Team 2 captured first place, Christchurch School Team 1 was in second place, and Norfolk Collegiate School Team 1 finished in first place. The regatta finished with Christchurch School Team 1 in first place, Norfolk Collegiate School Team 1 in second place and Christchurch School Team 2 in third place.
