We had a wonderful Championship on Lewis Bay hosted by The Barnstable High School Sailing Team and the Hyannis Yacht Club. Wind was shifty out of the North with puffs up to 15mph. 12 Teams were on hand in a 2-Division combined fleet race regatta. The course set up beautifully for down wind finishes and rotations occurring quickly right off the End "T". 6 races were sailed in each division, the wind gods were kind to us as they instantly switched the direction 180 to finish the day under fair sea breeze.
Congratulations to Martha's Vineyard Regional HS for taking the crown utilizing their sneaky speed and capturing the 2019 C&I Fleet Championship. Barnstable finished 2nd and the Clipper were 2pts behind the Raiders taking 3rd place.
Thanks BHS, HYC and Andrew Burr for a great event. Good Luck to all the Seniors moving forward and we look ahead to 2020!
