While the wind was very unpredictable and shifty most of the day, Race Committee persisted long enough to get in several races in the late afternoon. Dinner was postponed to continue racing as long as the breeze allowed. Oak Harbor Yacht Club provided a hot dinner in the clubhouse after racing, then most sailors retired to the middle school for the night.
Oak Harbor Yacht Club volunteers again provided a pancake breakfast for all sailors, coaches and volunteers before heading out onto the racecourse for day 2. Light winds eventually gave way to a fairly stable westerly that allowed several additional races. A total of 7 races were completed in both divisions, and an 8th race that was completed in B division was thrown out as the final race of the weekend was abandoned shortly after the westerly lightened to non-sailable conditions, and A division couldn't finish the 8th race.
