O'Day Qualifier - Boston

Summary

Saturday, April 13:

Early clouds and chilly weather gave way to sunshine and warmer temps in the afternoon. A relatively steady (for the Charles) Southerly allowed excellent racing all day, with 18 races of about 15 minutes each. Each division sailed 9 races in a 2-on, 2-off format, and the top three separated themselves from the group.

Congratulations to Cambridge Rindge & Latin and Newton Country Day for qualifying, and to Manchester/Essex for winning the event.

Only one protest was heard regarding a report of a missing helmet, but the protest was disallowed. Unfortunately, Porstmouth HS did not finish their RP forms and were given a penalty.

A huge Thank You to volunteer race committee from CRLS and Newton, especially Hugh Dougherty, and to CBI for hosting us all, and supporting our racing by providing boats, racing equipment, Protest Committee and the venue.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
