The Phebe Corckran King Invitational was Co-hosted by Annapolis Yacht Club and Severn Sailing Association in Annapolis Maryland this past weekend.
Saturday morning started out with a light breeze from the East at about 5 knots. The course was set up right off of Severn Sailing Association's sea wall and the windward mark was up by Trident point making for a tricky windward mark rounding. Todd Hillard and Brady Stagg were running races and were able to get through 10 A division races and 8 B division races before calling it a day with the wind getting more inconsistent as the day moved along. It was a battle all day within the top 5 showing the competitiveness of the fleet, with the back half of the fleet not too far behind. All in all it was a great day 1 of the Phebe Corckran King Memorial Invitational.

Sunday morning was rainy and cloudy but the day started out with a solid 5-10 knots of breeze out of the ENE building throughout the day. A and B division switched boats, A going into FJ's and B going into the C420's. This breeze was the same direction as the end of the day Saturday but the wind was up in velocity. Todd and Brady were able to finish the day out with 18 races a piece in each division. Congratulations to St. Mary's (MD) for winning the event, really pulling away the second day of racing winning A and B Division. Southwestern Central finished 2nd and Toms River North finished 3rd overall. Congratulations to those 3 teams on having 2 solid days of racing this weekend. Also a big thanks to the Regatta Chair Mark Bennett, our umpires Nicole Sikowitz, Zack Kelchner, and AJ Libby. Also a big thanks to our volunteers Keith Carew, Tara Carew, Jim Golden, Anu Golden and our RC Patrick Penwell, and Bosun Brianna Grenier. Also giving out the awards were Aden King, Xander King, and Natalie King.
