Summit hosted the Raritan Bay Spring Invitational Regatta on Saturday with support from Chatham and Perth Amboy high Schools. Nine teams from seven New Jersey high schools competed in light shifty winds combined with a strong incoming tide, making for some tricky conditions. Congratulations to St Augustine Prep who won the event. Summit’s first and second teams were tied for the second place position going into the last B fleet race of the day. In the final race, the Summit1 boat just edged out the Summit2 boat. Congratulations to all of the NJ sailors who competed, and to Michael Lusty for running the regatta with support from Tony Mercurio, Kim Sinatra, Dan Marino and David Signor.
