9 teams from across RI started out in a strong easterly breeze with both divisions on the water simultaneously. 3 races for each division were conducted with some great competition on the water. The 4th race set was called off after 3 General Recalls and time limit expiring. Following racing the sailors were able to enjoy a cookout party with various raffle prizes hosted by Rogers High School parents. Top honors in A Div go to Portsmouth HS, in B Div to Providence Country Day School, and overall top honors to The Prout School. Thanks goes out to our sole Race Committee of Joe Cooper for excellent race management. Much thanks to all of the teams, parents and especially Sail Newport for an exceptional Friday Night Lights season!
