SAISA Mallory Fleet Race Qualifier

Summary

Saturday, April 20:

Day one started off with big breeze and 1 race per division before both fleets were sent back ashore. With winds topping out well over 30 knots sailors patiently waited and we sent back out around 1500 hours and 7 more races were finished in a 10-22 knots NW breeze. 10 protest were heard at the end of Day 1 and the protest committee deserves special thanks for sticking around until almost 9:30 in the evening.

Sunday, April 21:

Day two saw much lighter conditions with a 3-10 NW breeze blowing in Bayboro Harbor. The USF coaching staff and RC did a great job of maximizing the racing in tough conditions. In the end HB Plant HS from Tampa ended up on top of a very tough fleet earning a berth to the Mallory National Championships in Seattle. Antilles HS and LaSalle finished in 2nd and 3rd also earning a pro to Seattle. Big thanks to the St Petersburg Yacht Club and USF St Pete for putting on a great event over the Easter Holiday and to the DIYC for loaning 4 boats to round out a great fleet of boats.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
