Connecticut State Championship

Hosted by Sail Black Rock, Competitors raced in light conditions out of the SW just before noon in the Z420s of Fairfield and Sacred Heart Universities with brand new North Blue Ribbon Sails. This was the first regatta hosted in almost 2 years due to CV19.

The first several races were in light and variable conditions with some big shifts. Early afternoon brought light rain with accompanying low pressure frustrating RC with typical clocking wind directions. RC did their best balancing an upwind leg and square line against getting off a good number of races.

The winds dropped many times to near zero and then back moderate sometimes from the north and other times southwest. Nice breezes finished up the day giving an exciting last ride for graduating seniors.
