MASSA Girl's Championship

Summary

Saturday, May 8:

Sailors arrived at the WaterFront Center at 8:30, and postponed due to light breeze until 10:15. The wind was extremely variable in West Harbor, clocking throughout the day and varying between 3-5 knots, but we were still able to get 10 good races off, with racing ending at 4:45.

At the end of day 1, Southern Regional High School holds first place, with Ranney School in second and Stonybrook in third. A special thank you to our PRO, George Ellis, Regatta Chair, Cece Hopkinson, and Mark Boats, Larry Kennedy and John Everitt.

Sunday, May 9:

Racing began at 10:00 this morning, and we were able to get 8 races off throughout the day despite variable conditions. Breeze was between 5 and 10 knots, consistently oscillating between the Northwest and the Southwest throughout the day.

Thank you to all the schools who participated, and made the effort to come to this event! Congratulations to Southern Regional High School for placing in first, with Ranney School in second place, and Norfolk Collegiate in third place.
