The regatta was sailed in puffy, shifty winds of 10 - 15 mph. Shifts were as much as twenty degrees in each direction, with the top of the course more variable than the bottom. The favored side in one race was frequently no longer favored in the next. Staying in the puffs was the biggest key to success. Some DSQs, OCSs and DNFs shuffled the standings a bit. There were outstanding performances in each division. Wellesley won the A division by a convincing 10 points, and in the B division Sharon bested Manchester-Essex by 2 points, who was well ahead of third place. Overall victory went to Winchester, followed by Manchester-Essex and Wellesley. A big thank you to the visiting coaches who helped with running races and handling protests.
