Cape & Islands Fleet Championship

Summary

Wednesday, May 25:

Cape and Islands Fleet championship hosted by Barnstable and the Hyannis Yacht Club, May 25th, 2022

13 C&I's schools descended on HYC at 1300 and were greeted by pre-rigged 420s, a moderate southeasterly and flat water.

Racing got under way around 1330, and 6 races were completed in each division, before the 1545 cut off time. It was the largest Fleet we've ever hosted at the cape and Islands Fleet championship and we were still missing Dartmouth and Bishop Stang

Huge thanks to Barnstable, Hyannis yacht club and Brent Jansen for hosting a fantastic event. Huge thanks to Barnstable, Hyannis yacht club and Brent Jansen for hosting a fantastic event. Thank you to Joe Lloyd, Alexis Mathison, Russ Gasdia, and Charlie Van Voorhis for hearing the three protests.

Thanks to all the C&I's schools for making this a memorable season and our first, "normal" season in many years.

See many of you at Figawi, and if not, have a wonderful summer.

Best, A. Burr

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
