Ohio MISSA Mallory Pre-qualifier

Summary

Saturday, April 9:

An unseasonably cold day dawned in Central Ohio with the threat of snow, sleet and rain through the day. In fact, if you didn't like the weather we were having... wait 5 minutes, it would certainly change...and it did!

7 teams battled each other and the elements for the MISSA Ohio Mallory Pre-qualifier for the right to sail in the finals in Chicago later this month. A full rotation was sailed with no breakdowns, no protests and great racing all around. When the spray settled, St. Ignatius (OH) won, followed closely by Bay HS and Rocky River.

Many helpers came together to make this event a success. Thanks to our parent leaders for pitching in to make sure everyone stayed warm between sets, full of food and entertained through the day. Finally, thanks to our intrepid leader Jamie Jones (SFD) for running the races on the water and leading the charge off.

Sunday, April 10:

Sailing was completed Saturday.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
