The regatta was greeted with champagne conditions on the Rapahannock River: temperatures in the 50's partly cloudy skies, and SW winds of 12-15 gusting 18-20. Thirteen teams from 10 Virginia schools were in attendance. Eight races in each division were accomplished before the wind shifts became unmanageable. The last race was started at about 2:10.
A division sailed in 420's and B was in FJ's with staggered starts on the same course. Christchurch School Team 1 took first place, followed by Norfolk Collegiate Team 1 in second, and Christchurch School Team 2 in third place.
Two protests were filed, both resulting in RAF. In race A2, NCS v HRA; HRA retired. In race A3, race committee v KHS resulted in KHS retiring after they hit the finish flag and snapped it in two. A redress was granted in race B2 to POQ after a structural failure.
Thanks to Alex Jacobs and Carter Little for serving as PRO and to the rest of the race committee.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
