It was a slow start to the day with a light and shifty southeasterly breeze, but it was enough to get one race off for Gold A. The wind completely died out before shifting to the southwest when the regatta could be started in earnest around roughly 1pm. The wind lessened for a moment after the second Gold A race, but filled back in and racing continued with 6A races and 4B races in the Gold Fleet while Silver Fleet completed four races in both divisions. There were an exceptional number of breakdown requests and mutiple protests filed with two resulting in disqualifications in race 2b and 3b in the Gold Fleet. Racing finished at roughly 6pm.
Another slow start with an on shore postponement until 11:15am. Silver A started the day and was able to get off two races in a light southeasterly. Gold B was ready to go, but the course was moved to a more suitable location as the breeze picked up and shifted to the south-southwest. The current was significantly up coast and a short start line made starts even more difficult as the Gold B fleet had three general recalls. By then Silver B was on the water and given the chance to start instead (this ultimately led to Silver having more races than Gold in the end. Gold B was offered another chance and after a fourth general recall, the line was heavily extended. Even then there were individual recalls, but the race was under way and the regatta once again began in earnest around 1pm. It rolled along quite nicely for the next two hours allowing Silver to get through race 8 in both divisions. Gold got through race 8a, but Gold B was just shy of the timeline to start an eighth race and therefore race 8a was dropped. The conditions were in the high single digits to low teens with beautiful sunshine. Several more breakdowns were filed as well as some protests (mostly in the silver fleet) resulting in one single DSQ in the last silver 8A race.
