Wet & Cool Regatta

Summary

Saturday, March 9:

11 teams from Panama City to Bay St. Louis competed in Fairhope under cloudy skies. 12-13 kt winds came from the NNW all day, gusting 16-18. The seas had a 2-3 foot chop all day. Fairly sloppy conditions at times, challenging many teams throughout. Race Committee was able to get in two full rotations, along with races 5 and 6 for the A Division. Only one protest recorded on the day, regarding a collision on the water. Overall, the teams got a full, challenging day of racing on the water, followed by a bonfire on the beach that evening.

Sunday, March 10:

Sunday morning brought clear skies, colder temps, lower seas, and slightly lighter wind. The race committee was able to finish the 5&6 rotation with B Division and then two more complete rotations before the cutoff. Both divisions completed ten total races. Many new winners, some new faces and teams, and great competition all around!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
