The March SoCal regatta had light to moderate breeze with shifty conditions, making consistency and positioning off the start especially important. We had solid boat speed overall, but lost places due to a few risky decisions on the first beat and inconsistent mark roundings. Moving forward, the focus is on cleaner starts, better shift recognition, and simplifying tactics to sail more conservatively in unstable conditions.
