The 2026 May Madness Regatta began Saturday, April 25, at Nagawicka Lake Yacht Club with 14 teams competing in C420s. Sailors saw cool temperatures, shifty breeze, and competitive racing throughout the day as both varsity and JV divisions completed a full slate of races. Tight racing and changing conditions kept the standings close heading into Sunday’s final day.
Sunday brought another full day of racing to close out the 2026 May Madness Regatta at Nagawicka Lake Yacht Club. With 14 teams competing in the shifty spring breeze, sailors battled through a competitive final round of races before Evanston Township High School claimed the regatta win with 68 points. Sturgeon Bay School finished second with 79 points, followed by Marquette University High School in third with 122 points. Consistent finishes in both divisions proved critical over the two-day event as teams navigated oscillating conditions and tight rotations. Thank you to all sailors, coaches, parents, and volunteers for a great weekend of racing.
