Conditions were very favorable on the Anacostia River this Saturday, April 4th, for a full day of racing. Racers arrived at 09:00 to 70 degree weather and moderate breeze out of the southwest, 6-12 knots. As the day went on, the breeze clocked slightly further south and picked up to a steady 10-13. The skies remained clear throughout he day, with a high of 85 degrees.
Race Committee was able to get 8 races off per division. Races were W4s averaging 17 minutes in duration, with the exception of 8A and 8B being W3 courses to facilitate a faster rotation and squeeze in the final set of races before the end time. Sailors docked at 16:15 and all departed by 16:45.
Thanks to RC and the DC Sail Staff for keeping things running smoothly throughout the day. And thanks to all the sailors, coaches, and spectators for coming out to DC.
