MDISA KENT ISLAND Tier 2

Summary

Sunday, May 3:

Sailing begin with chilly temperatures and winds in the teens with gusts occasionally in the low 20s from the NW. Sailing was delayed until 10:46am to allow for the launching of extra safety boats.

Thank you to West River Sailing Club for bringing an extra safety boat for the day. It was put to good use, as were all of the safety boats on the water.

Winds moderated in the early afternoon averaging 9-12 kts with gusts up to 16 kts shifting to the west and back again to the NW. Rotations were slowed with a very low tide. Six races in both divisions were sailed.

One major breakdown cost the host a centerboard with a separation of the centerboard head from the rest of the boat. Thanks to some great team work, the host shore crew and the regatta sailors were able to get a back up boat on the water without a significant delay.

Thank you to the Race Committee and the safety boats, shore crew and Concession Stand keeping us all well fed.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
