On Sunday, April 26th 12 NESSA teams arrived at Bristol YC to overcast skies and very light winds from the East with a flat sea. After the skippers meeting, racing got underway after a brief postponement, sailing a W4 course. The wind was shifty and oscillating, with up to 90 degree changes, and velocity from 0-6-8mph. Race 2A had to be abandoned on the 2nd leg as the wind went completely flat. The fleet took a break at the dock and waited for wind. As the day progressed the RC managed to get 6 races completed in very tricky, light conditions changing the marks over 30 times. The judges heard two protests resulting in one DSQ and another withdrawal, neither of which affected the standings of the first three teams. There is a redress hearing pending but regardless of the determination, it will not affect the scores of the first 5 teams.
