SEISA Girls Champs

Summary

Saturday, March 21:

The day started with a report time of 0800, and all teams there early! The weather was perfect with a cloudless blue sky and temperature in the upper 70's. After rigging and a competitors meeting at 0900, we were on the water and at the start area at 0945, racing started at 0950, 10 minutes early. Great job sailors! A .35 nm course was set in the bay to a S wind 14 kts, waves 1-2 ft. After the first two races, the wind dropped to 10-12 kts for races 3 & 4. Another wind drop, with no direction change had the sailors racing in 6-8 kts for races 5 & 6, with waves down to 1 ft or less. The fleet sailed in for a lunch break poolside. Racing resumed at 1400, this time behind the breakwater in the "playpen" with a .3 nm course in 14-15 kts and flat water. Races 7 through 10 were completed before 1600, and the fleet sailed in. After cleaning up and a break we all met at the CCYC Library for a semi-formal buffet and awards ceremony. Thank you to our CCYC staff for running the regatta and the great meal. Special thanks to all the sailors who traveled from New Orleans to make this a great regatta!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
