Nine teams representing 8 Virginia schools met on a beautiful sunny day with the air temperature at almost 80 degrees. Racing was initially postponed until the wind filled in at 4mph SSW resulting in a slow first race. Winds built throughout the day with 60 degree oscillations. Just before 11AM, the wind shifted 180 degrees, while continuing to build to a max of 11 mph NNE with gusts higher.
The regatta completed 8 combined division races on a W-4 course. Norfolk Academy took first place with 86 points. Norfolk Collegiate Team 2 took second place with 98 points, and Kecoughtan High School followed closely in third with 101 points.
