Another beautiful day in Central Ohio as we welcomed 29 teams to the Thomas Worthington Invite regatta kicked off the 2019 sailing season. The breeze was a variable 3-8 knots through the day which made for some slow sailing at times. Bay HS showed us all how it was done by winning A and B and overall. 4 other schools took home trophies in A and B showing the depth of Ohio HS Sailing. We completed 5 races in each division, there were 2 protests (both disallowed) and no breakdowns filed.
Many people make this event go off starting with our regatta Chair Jamie Jones. He was assisted by a various cast of misfits including Scott Savage as PRO, Kari Friedauer as registration chair, Shilah Griffeth and Angie Shaw as our Kitchen Mama's, and Anna Malone as our Jack of All Trades (scoring, trash, kitchen and master toilet fixer)
Thanks to our friends from Cleveland, Toledo and Cincinnati for making the drive to Columbus to kick off the season!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
