New Orleans Invitational (NO GO Qualifier)

Summary

Sunday, October 18:

The start of racing was delayed 1 hour from a 10:00a.m. to an 11:00 a.m. harbor start to let the wind die down and sea state improve. At the originally scheduled start time winds were 20+ from the NE or ENE with significant chop on Lake Pontchartrain. By the time racing commenced at approximately 11:15, winds had dropped to 15-16 sustained, although there were some considerable gusts to challenge the sailors.

Our hardworking PRO, Charles Meade, and his team got off 7 solid races of a planned 9 in variable and choppy conditions. Teams went to the dock every two races to change crews, get coaching and take on water and snacks.

Congrats to the winners of today's event and the teams that qualified for the Great Oaks Invitational to be held in New Orleans in November!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
