NJISA 2026 Toms River Autumn Challenge

Summary

Saturday, September 19:

Fourteen schools, making up 18 teams, participated in the Toms River Autumn Challenge. The host NJISA schools were joined by NYISA-SE counterpart the Stony Brook School, who brought two teams. Sailors contended with shifty northeast-east breeze throughout the day, which featured 14 total races split between W4 and W3.

Southern Regional, led by a terrific B Division performance, won the regatta by 12 points over second place CBA. It was Gannon Botwinick and Ava Stabile who sailed super consistent in B Division for Southern, recording just 11 points. In A Division, CBA's Cole Buczkowski and Edward Solodkiy won by a single point over SBS's Ian Ainger and Ines Haynes.

The top five was rounded out by Stony Brook 1, Toms River South and Stony Brook 2.

As always, thank you to TRYC and BBYRA for partnering with us on the facility and fleet.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
