Day 1 of the PCISA Girls Regatta featured challenging conditions as Santa Ana winds started from the east before lightening and shifting west/northwest throughout the day. The changing breeze made for tricky racing and tested the sailors' ability to quickly adapt on the water to changes.
Despite the conditions, racing stayed on schedule with five races completed in A Fleet and four races in B Fleet. A Fleet saw several general recalls, while B Fleet managed cleaner starts and fewer recalls overall.
Thank you to Cathedral Catholic, Francis Parker, and La Jolla High School for providing a continental breakfast for sailors to start the day.
The day concluded with a beach BBQ, giving teams a chance to relax and connect after racing.
Special thanks to Aine McLean for photographing the racing throughout the day.
Day 2 of the PCISA Girls Regatta brought more stable conditions than Day 1, with a consistent breeze throughout much of the racing. The steadier wind allowed sailors to focus on boat speed and tactics, which made for a competitive day on the water.
Jimmer and Bianca were on Barca running races and completed seven races during the day, taking advantage of the conditions to keep the event running smoothly.
Thank you to the volunteers, coaches, race officials, and host teams who helped make the regatta possible.
Special thanks to Tom Rall for photographing the racing throughout Day 2.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
