We had sixteen 420's racing from 15 different schools. The day sated out very very cold for May, at 37 degrees with winds from 12-25 mph. In the morning we ran a winward leeward course twice around. In the after noon re switched to once around. Temperatures rose to 45 degrees and winds built throughout the day to 20 mph and gusting to 30 mph. Four boats went over. It was blowing hard and very fast racing.
We had another strong group of wonderful parent volunteers. Special thanks to Gio for race committee work. And to Catalina Chadbourn for her pre regatta shopping trips to Costco and her race day runs to Little Ceasars for pizza. Thanks too to Noreen Foster who always brings coffee. And Jen Klise who makes the serving table pretty. Thanks to all race helpers and staff! It was a great day!
