The SAISA Brunswick Open Regatta, hosted by the Golden Isles Community Sailing Center, was held in the East Brunswick River at Brunswick Landing Marina in Brunswick, GA. Eight teams competed, including JV teams from Bishop Kenny and Glynn Academy. Wind was northeast at 10-15 knots but gusty and shifty, resulting in frequent capsizes. But the sailors persevered, and all 16 races were completed. Congratulations to Bishop Kenny High School; their varsity team took first place overall and second place in A division, and their JV team took second place overall and first place in A division! And many thanks to Brunswick Landing Marina, the volunteers from the Golden Isles Sailing Club, and all the sailing team members, parents, and coaches who made the regatta possible.
