Mallory racing started at approximately 1130 following the conclusion of the Baker qualifier. Wind was consistent in both direction and velocity for the majority of the race and only required minor course changes through the day. Racing concluded at approximately 6pm having completed 12 races with 14 teams.
Teams were quick back on the water Sunday to resume Mallory Qualifier racing. Wind initially was fairly consistent in both direction and speed until the remaining 3 races of the day. Ultimately, RC was able to manage wind shifts by calling off 2-3 races and resetting courses appropriately. As wind became lighter and shiftier RC initiated a final sailing of 1A and 1B. For the final 1B race wind had shifted nearly 360 degrees or more over a 20-30 minute period. Ultimately, we were able to set one last course with good wind to conclude the final 1B race before securing for the day at about 4pm. Sunday saw an additional 10 races for a total of 22 races combined for Saturday and Sunday.
