Saturday, March 26:

The first regatta of the spring season at Sailing Center Chesapeake arrived with a LOT of wind! Forecasts in the mid-to-high teens from WSW were accurate with gusts hitting 20+ at times. After a quick run back home to grab the starting horn, the RC team got a course set right off the beach, making for perfect viewing throughout the day. Multiple (!!!) capsizes were dealt with by our intrepid safety officers Jon Stevenson and Steve Brelage, several breakdowns including a fallen mast were reset and sent back out to the racecourse, and an MIA radio was scooped from the shoreline reeds by a few of our Leonardtown and Great Mills sailors! Thanks to Race Committee Russ Miller, Heather Maggard, and Dusty Maggard and the safety crew (Jon and Steve) for braving the wind and cold all day to provide some really good racing and even better stories for our sailors! Congratulations to the Severn Admirals for the win, followed by the Broadneck Bruins and St. Mary's Saints to round out the podium. We can't wait to see most of you back next weekend for our team race!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
