For the first day of the 2018 Great Oaks Regatta we had winds of 5 to 10 from the north with calm seas for most of the day. The RC ran 16 races with 8 boats in each division. The races were well run and lasted about 20 min per race. The racing was close. The competitors had a great time with no protests filed at the end of the day.
After a long day on a cold lake the sailors enjoyed Gumbo in the Grill at SYC.
The leaders in the Green division is Newman and the leader of the Red division is Lake Travis.
