Ten NJISA high schools making up fourteen sailing teams started off the Spring 2016 high school sailing season at Toms River Yacht Club. Skies were clear with an easterly breeze of 8-10 mph which allowed for a total of six races for the afternoon. Three races were completed in each A & B Division before the wind started to die, skies became overcast, temperatures dropped and an unseasonable thunderstorm loomed ominously to the west.
Congratulations to The Ranney School Panthers for their 19 point first place honors, The Southern Regional Rams in second with 21 points and the CBA Colts in third with 27 points.
Special thanks to Art Bailey for the use of "Viking" as the RC boat, Dave Magno for setting and maintaining the course and all the teams that participated and helped get the season off to great start. And as always, thanks to TRYC and OCC for the use of their facilities and fleet of boats.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
