Connecticut States

Saturday, April 28:

After a brief delay and an early lunch break a nice Southerly filled in and racing got underway shortly before noon. An outgoing tide made for a few general recalls and the RC instituted the "one-minute rule" for all starts. Four races were sailed in each division before the breeze backed to the left slight and increased to 8-12 knots coming straight up the Thames River. Four more races were sailed with all courses W-4.

A- Division sailed Z420's and B-Division were in FJ's with all boats having new sails. The competitors and coaches did a great job expediting the rotation so we could get in 16 total races for the day. There were no protests or breakdowns filed.

Thank you to CGA Sailing Team Members- Darden Purrington '20 (PRO), Maddie Kaller '21, Walter Gnann '21, Richie Gordon '21, Jesse McKnight '21, and Gage Schoenherr '21 for taking the day to run the regatta for everyone.

Congratulations to Choate Rosemary Hall for winning the 2018 Connecticut State Championships!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
