After a high wind postponement on shore, seventeen teams from 12 schools launched for a 10:00 first warning. The morning races commenced with clear skies and N winds at 18mph, gusting to 28, that clocked to west while decreasing throughout the day, settling at NNW 5-8mph with gusts to 10mph.
Sailors completed 7 races in each division. Christchurch School Team 1 took first place, followed by Norfolk Collegiate School Team 1 in second place, and Christchurch School Team 2 in third place.
